LASIK Technology in New Hampshire Just Got Better!
In the past it was more difficult to be a LASIK candidate, but with the changes in LASIK technology. The Ziemer LDV S-4 is new laser system that allows more patients to have access to LASIK in New Hampshire. Corneal thinness and other conditions may no longer discourage a surgeon to perform LASIK on a patient.
The new technology not only provides more patients with the opportunity for LASIK but it allows patients to have better vision post-surgery. The vision and visual clarity is improved without causing greater risks. The Ziemer LDV S-4 laser incorporates the Femtosecond Laser, a blade free laser used for laser vision correction and LASIK. Ziemer introduced the Femtosecond laser after IntraLase had introduced the industry to All Laser LASIK.
The Z-LASIK procedure
The Femtosecond Surgical Laser is completely guided and controlled by one of Spindel Eye Associates certified ophthalmologist. The laser has a hand piece that gives surgeons superior tactile and visual control of the procedure through the laser microscope. The Femtosecond laser uses a vacuum generated approach to perform LASIK. The rapid laser pulse system creates the corneal flap with more accuracy than the hand held microkeratome, then the excimer laser is used to perform the correction.
Spindel Eye Associates have performed thousands of LASIK procedures in New Hampshire. The doctors at Spindel Eye Associates believe that the advancements of the femtosecond laser technology has significant advantages over IntraLase. Spindel Eye Associates has a goal of providing the most advance eye care and best quality of vision for patients. The Z-LASIK procedure allows us to accomplish both goals.
