COVID-19 Notice

To our patients:

As we have tracked the status of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become clear that we are likely going to need more time than initially anticipated to recover from its impact on our business and community. The American Academy of Ophthalmology and the CDC has recommended that we cancel our elective surgeries such as cataract and LASIK and limit patients to those that have urgent clinical conditions. As you are probably aware, most other ophthalmology offices in New Hampshire are following this recommendation to shut down all non-essential patient visits and procedures in all of our locations. If we delay the decisions we are making today, the length of time it will take for things to return to normal will only be longer.

At this time, it is in the best interest of our staff, patients, and community if we cease non-essential services across all locations for the foreseeable future to reduce the risk of exposure for everyone. We hope to be able to resume regular business operations in the near future, but like you, we do not know when that will be. We do understand the impact this has on our patients and our staff, and have hope that it will be over soon. This decision will take effect beginning Saturday, March 28th.

We will have on-call doctors available for emergency and urgent visits in our Derry office. We will be calling all patients who are currently scheduled for yearly or routine appointments to reschedule. If you have an urgent issue and need to reach our on-call provider, please call 603-434-4193 and choose option 1.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this time of crisis. We wish you the best of health and hope to see you in the office soon.

Thank you,
Spindel Eye Associates
